Regional credits include Cabaret, Proof, As You Like It, and Cyrano de Bergerac. Los Angeles credits include The Altruists (StageSceneLA, Best Actor in a Comedy), Picasso at the Lapine Agile, and Romeo and Juliet. Adam Ferguson will be playing the role of Prior Walter in Tony Kushner's celebrated play Angels in America: Part One Millennium Approaches.
Winner of the 1993 Pulitzer Prize in Drama, Millennium Approaches tells the story of Prior Walter, a man dying of AIDS in 1980s. Unable to cope with the circumstances, his long-time boyfriend Louis moves leaving Prior alone to deal with his illness. However, in his abandonment, Prior begins to hear a voice telling him to prepare the way for an angel's arrival. Meanwhile, Louis begins to cross paths with Joe Pitt, a closeted homosexual married to Harper, who is agoraphobic and addicted to Valium. Joe also works for the Republican Roy Cohen, who discovers he is dying of AIDS.

This performance will be Adam's culminating project as part of the completion of the MFA in Television, Film, and Theatre/ Acting Option at Cal State LA.
